Aaron Ramsey is the Arsenal Player of the Month!
Arsenal fans voted in record numbers in our official August poll -
and more than three quarters of them chose the Wales midfielder.
Ramsey ended last season in fine form and he picked up where he left off at the start of the new campaign.
He scored three times in August - all against Fenerbahce in the
Champions League - but it was Ramsey's increasing authority at the heart
of Arsenal's midfield that really caught the eye,
The 22-year-old's defensive discipline was vital in the absence of Mikel Arteta but, as those goals suggest, Ramsey also got forward to good effect.
Olivier Giroud also had a month to remember but the Frenchman was a distant second in our poll on 13.9 per cent. Tomas Rosicky finished third
